You know when your kids are playing and it becomes a little too quiet. You know they are doing something they shouldn’t but still you hesitate to stop them because you are enjoying the peace?
Raegan loves to paint. In fact, since we have introduced her to finger paint, she likes to paint her fingers, hands, and legs more than she like painting on paper. Apparently she also has a fondness for the walls, doors, and furniture.
The good news is that finger paint usually cleans up easily with a wet dish cloth. The key is to take a picture of the artwork for prosperity and then to clean up the paint as soon as possible.
When the water doesn’t work, I use my general cleaner – Clorox Cleanup that works really well. I do have to use some elbow grease and scrub like crazy. But that’s when I’ve let the paint dry.
At least the finger paint is easy to clean. I dread when she outgrows it but hopefully by then she won’t paint on the walls.

I’ve been fortunate that my kids have not painted on the walls, but my 1-year has been making marks on the walls with his crayons.
Mocha Dad: Crayons will come off the wall with some baking soda mixed with water to form a paste. I can actually prove this.
Just don’t scrub too hard. There are also washable crayons now that come right off with plain water.
GeekyHousewife: I love the picture. I’ve got a picture of my older son when he was 2 or 3 after used a whiteboard marker to make a mural on the living room wall. Nothing worked until I picked up one of those Magic Erasers that everyone has been talking about (OK, technically it was one of the cheap-o Target brand equivalents.) It came right off.
I think it is normal for kids to finger paint or write on the wall. I believe it is the time where they experiment. Well, you need to be proud to your child because she is intelligent. I need to say great job for finding the solution to your problem.
I’ve also tried the clorox cleaner and it works but there are some bathroom cleaners that work even better.
Not by painting on my wall but many marks are there on my wall. I could clean some marks by wet dish cloth but some are not. So i just repainted them. I have never used clorox cleaner. I hope cleaning with clorox cleaner will be a great idea.
Another great way to clean your walls with a non-toxic product aside from baking soda the plain old soap mixed with water. Adding a little bit of liquid soap in water can help you get rid of paint and crayon stains without having to use clorox which has strong chemicals!
I need to admit that removing paint is difficult. I use clorox for it.
i dont have such problem. whats my problem was my toddler removing paint itself from the wall. with his play stuff.
I think clorox works well with removing paint. I tried it and it is good.
My kids dont know finger painting. but they know how to make my walls nasty.
