This week I have my motivation for cleaning my house - the DirectV installer is coming Thursday. Now I have a strict deadline for getting my house finally in order.
Monday I worked exclusively on laundry. With the weather turning cooler, we need less summer clothes readily available. So I sacked up a lot of summer clothing to put in storage. Just doing that has made a huge difference.
Today I plan to tackle the baby’s toys as she has way too many. For right now, I’m going to sack up what she hasn’t played with in a while and put in storage. In a few months it’ll be like new toys.
It’s sad that it takes someone coming to the house to get me probably motivated to clean up. But hopefully once I have it clean then I can resolve to keep it that way.

i think the worst part about house cleaning is having to clean the bathrooms (the toilets in particular) :/

How’s your cleaning now? I hope you have done everything you need to do. I am like that too before. Cleaning because someone is coming. Now, I schedule everything to make sure that our home is always tidy and nice to look at.

Make it a game. have little baseball stickers/cutouts and little dolls, etc. and they earn their sticker for each chore they do. when they complete their 3 chores they earn 1/2 hour tv or whatever they want to do…

Steam cleaners have an upholstery attachment. They work great. Spray on some oxy clean stain remover then steam it off with a little steam cleaner detergent in the water. You can rent a steam cleaner at almost any home store, grocery store or drug store. Good luck.

Weekly cleaning of house is ok for Dusting, Curtains and Cushions Wash, Wall Unit Cleaning etc.
But there are sections which need daily attention:
Like Day today Soiled Clothes
Daily Eatery Dishes and Glass

Swiffers are lightweight and have a long handle on them. You should be able to dust and sweep with no problem.

How much time did you spend on cleaning your house today? If you haven’t cleaned your house in a while, how much time did you spend cleaning your house the last time you cleaned house?
