Yesterday I told you that I covered two of my windows with aluminum foil in hopes of blocking the sun out and making it a little cooler indoors. Today would be the test to see if it actually does anything.

While the temperature was just a few tenths of a degree lower than yesterday, it is cooling off a lot faster with the air conditioner running. Right now it’s 3:30pm. Yesterday at this time the temperature inside was hovering around 89 degrees. Right now it’s 86 degrees. So it has been a great help because usually it doesn’t get this temperature until well after 5pm.

The aluminum foil was a great deal at 50 cents. It’s probably one of the cheapest ways to beat the heat!

Much, much better than aluminum foil.

  3. It’s funny that I found this post about aluminum foil on the windows. Last night I watched a new show called “Swingtown”. It’s about wife swapping in the ’70s. One of the ‘neighbours’ was putting aluminum foil on her windows…for a completely different reason, wink, wink.
