Homemade Remedies

What’s the craziest home remedy you’ve heard? I’ve heard many over the years and have even tried some. I remember changing my soap to to a gentler brand because I heard it was an affective acne treatment. That might not be that strange, but some advice I’ve been given I’m not sure I follow the logic.

My mother-in-law always said if you have a wart to cut a potato in half. Rub it over the wart and then bury the potato in the backyard under a full moon. Your wart would then go away. I guess maybe the starch does something to the wart and maybe the rest is just to give you something to do while you wait for your wart to go away!

I remember my Mom telling something very similar to this about warts, along with other home remedies. You never know, sometimes these home remedies work a lot better than the medicine of today, and not near as expensive!

    Great post, thanks for sharing!

I heard of another homemade remedy for warts. My mother use to put duct tape of the warts, and after about a month or so of doing this the wart would disappear. Its kind of a odd treatment, and it does take a while, but obviously the treatment works.

Home remedy sometimes cure the problem very quickly.I had a bad tooth ache at 2 AM. I did not have the pain killer. It was unbearable. My mom gave me 2 cloves and told me to put it near the tooth which was aching. I got instant relief.

I believe that the duct tape “chokes” out the wart. Denying it the oxygen that it needs to survive.

i have read about using hydrogen peroxide to treat ear infections. But the thing is it can be very dangerous if you try it at home, especially if you have a ruptured eardrum.

Instead, i prefer using home made remedies which can be found in my kitchen. I stumbled upon a great website which talks about home earache remedies. it works fine for me. you can check it out at Home Earache Remedies

Removing a wart at home is far more cheaper then going to the doctor and usually more effective! I remember paying a $35 co pay every time I went to the dermatologist to remove my wart and I had to go at least 6 times before I gave up! Luckily I found a great wart remedy

Another good home remedy for removing warts, is computer dust spray. This spray is really cold and will freeze the wart, allowing you to cut it off. The only downside is that they often grow back when using this method.

I am a big believer in ginger. What a good dose of ginger won’t fix isn’t worth talking about. It is especially good for clearing up a bad flem cough. Check out some of the remedies in coughing flem
