Growing Sunflowers

I’m anxious to plant some flowers. Since we haven’t hit our last frost of the year, I’ve planted some seeds in containers, so I can cover them on cold nights. Here is a picture taken a few days after I planted the seeds:

And here is how they have grown in just a few days:

So we are seeing much progress from the sunflower seeds. I get so excited to check on them each morning because it seems there is a new one that has sprouted up. Hopefully we will have a bunch of sunflowers this summer, which will make for great photo opportunities.

Good luck with your sunflowers, I’ve just planted some Harlequin mixed sunflowers, fingers crossed they’ll grow big and tall!

Hey I was once tried to plant sunflower but unfortunately it is not successful I think the climate is one of the main reason why it didn’t grow.

I have a few that have taken off..not sure what will happen with them. I’ve got to plant the rest of my seeds soon. After planting in the hard ground, I plan to do some container gardening.

I'm a mostly stay at home mom who loathes cleaning, cooking, and anything that remotely might be described as housework. I love trying new products and sharing household tips that save time and energy. Sure, I could post a ton of tips that I've read or found on the Internet, but I prefer to use tips and hints that I actually use.
