You’ll want to make sure the contractors you hire to install the new windows properly tie the window frame into the weather barrier of the stucco. To date, I have seen maybe 1 or 2 out of 50 actually seal the gap between the window and the siding properly. You’ll want to use a transition tape/membrane, not just caulking.
