As I looked over the almost vacant house, I was struck with the thoughts that I had when we first moved in. This new place was so much bigger than our current home. Oh all the possibilities. There just seemed to be so much room.

Fast forward a year into living in our new place, and we find the space a little cramp, especially since we were preparing to welcome a new baby into our life.? So our once big place now seemed much smaller. My husband had to give up his play room since that was the new home office while the home office was transformed into a nursery.

We thought we would be less cluttered, less disorganized, and in general develop habits that we currently didn’t have when it came to housekeeping. Needless to say, none of that happen. It is evident by the huge piles of stuff that still need to be moved out of some of the rooms.

We do plan to live a less cluttered life from this point forward. When we unpack, we will be closely evaluating everything to see if it fits into our new place. Our goal is to store as little as possible.

It’s another new place, so the great expectations are back. Hopefully this time we can live up to at least a few of them.
