I am a stay at home Mom and love it. Although I do miss my regular paycheck quite a bit. That is why I’ve been looking into some work at home opportunities. Mostly I’ve been using my writing to make a little extra cash but would like to branch out a bit.

My goal is to learn more about computer programming since I would like to go back to work when Rae is in school. Maybe doing some websites or custom scripts will not only generate a side income now but give me something to show potential employers in a few years.

Working at home is hard especially with a nearly two year old in tow. Sometimes finding time to write is a challenge. I usually try to write in the morning when her shows are on or during her nap time. She is a night owl like her Dad, so there is seldom a night that she gets to be before I do.

Still I’ve managed to make a few extra dollars, which has really come in handy. Hopefully with the move and the money we’ll save, my extra income will help us get ahead. Now that would be a great feeling!
