This year we have been keeping all of our receipts.? I’ve been a few months behind, so the receipt drawer was packed full of little sheets of paper. Our calendar doubles as folders for each month. Once a month is finished, I take the folder pocket, group and staple the receipts, then place the folder in our filing cabinet. After about 45 minutes of sorting, everything was placed in the right folder.
I made three spots to put receipts: April receipts, May receipts, and other. I always find a stray February or January receipt.
Yeah! Now they are all neatly tucked away in the right folder. I’m sure I will find some stray receipts in the car and my purse. The job is never finished.

Great job!! I need to tackle mine as well and stay on top of it monthly, but i digress it is always a big pile for me at the end of the year.
