My husband just can’t throw out a glass jar. He will use the last of the mayonaise jar, then stick the jar and lid in the sink. After having accumulated more jars than we ever used, I took an oath not to wash anymore jars. If it is a jar he wants to keep, then he can wash it himself.

Keeping jars has come in handy. They made great leftover containers. Plus we recently bought some french onion dip. It didn’t taste like I remembered. That was because we bought the wrong kind. I found an old dip glass jar downstairs -apparently it had gotten washed before I took my vow not to wash anymore- that was ranch dip. That’s the dip I remembered. That is a handy container too as it holds odd nails, tacks, and screws.
