Our cat had kittens a few months back. She had complications from nursery and ruptured a mammary gland. We took her to the vet where she was treated and is doing a lot better. It wasn’t a cheap visit, and we didn’t have the money to pay for it.
The vet’s office told us about Care Credit, which is essentially a credit card we could use to pay for her medical costs. While I hate using credit and really just want to be out of debt, Care Credit really saved us in this situation. We hope to have it paid off in a few months but have up to 12 months to pay it off and not be charged any finance fees.
We need to get the cat spayed, and Care Credit can help us do that sooner than later. I surely don’t want her to go through anything like she had to with her first litter.

That is pretty cool. One of the charities we foster dogs for has set up a fund to help out people in need with their pet bills. To say the least, they are always having to raise money. I’m glad you were responsible and care enough for your pet to spend the money. A lot of people wouldn’t have. Good for you!

Be careful with care credit. They are a horrible company and their late fee is $30, even if you pay a double payment, they still charge a late fee the following month.
Also, the total interest will be added at the end of the “promotional period” and it SUCKS! If you call them, the will NOT help you with the unexpected interest that is added after the “promotional period.” I really have a big beef with this company.

Yeah I think once we have them paid off we will not be using them again. Hopefully we can get it done this month as this is the last month with zero interest. From the sounds of it, it is now paramount for us to get it paid to avoid paying more.
